Meet the herd.
The horses at Rock Valley Equine Assisted Development are all magnificent, gentle, well educated and much-loved Australian Quarter Horses. They are a mix of mares and geldings. One of them was born here on the property and has lived here all her life, two came to the farm as weanlings and have been here ever since and two came as mature horses. All have broad experience of the human world having been successful show horses or competed in the sports of Stockman’s Challenges, Camp drafting or Cutting. All the herd enjoy trail riding, plodding about with the grandchildren on board and trips to the beach in addition to their therapy work. They have varied and vibrant lives and enjoy living together as a herd.
